PokerMatch will organise the Victory Cup poker tournament to assist Ukraine.

PokerMatch, a Ukrainian operator of online poker rooms that was bought by Parimatch Tech in December 2021, was one of the numerous enterprises displaced by the war. 

On 20th March, at 3 p.m. EET (1 p.m. GMT), PokerMatch will host the Victory Cup, a one-time charity tournament to raise funds for individuals in danger and experiencing homelessness in Ukraine.  

"From the first days, our team was busy providing safety for their relatives, their families, and then joined in taking other colleagues and families out of dangerous and hot places," PokerMatch said in a statement about the forthcoming competition. Now that our loved ones are safe, the firm has launched a worldwide fundraising campaign. 

"Even though Ukrainians (and our PokerMatch team) are scattered all over Ukraine and the world, they want to do everything in their power to raise both attention and money for the people who have suffered, and continue to suffer, in this war." 

The competition will cost $7 to enter, with all proceeds going to the National Bank of Ukraine. Nearer the time, a link to the tournament page will be available on PokerMatch's website.

The All-Ukrainian Sports Poker Federation and the International Poker Federation have both sponsored the Victory Cup. 

PokerMatch is one of numerous gaming companies who have pledged to assist with the humanitarian effort in Ukraine. 

Parimatch Tech, PokerMatch's parent firm, has contributed UAH 60 million ($2 million) to the ongoing effort; Stake has donated $1 million, or the equivalent of 25.63 Bitcoin; and many others have followed suit, if not gone above and above.
